This design came out of one of the mandala workshops I gave on the Four Directions/Medicine Wheel. Before meditating I had thought I wanted to paint West - just goes to show the difference between left and right hemispheres! After, I knew it was North!! I wanted the security of the Earth beneath my feet. I wanted to feel grounded, rich, in abundance and also able to feel the Violet Flame, so I painted the mountains purple, and the roots gold, and felt strong and connected.
